Lastly I am trying to figure out Voxalot. We are here to help. However, you might find more detailed info on the VoXaLot forums: »forum.voxalot.com/

Ideally I would like to have my out going calls from my ATA do an ENUM check through Voxalot then proceed to callcentric if there is no match. However I do not want Voxalot to mess with my incoming calls or voicemail. Is this possible, given that I need to change PAP2T? In general it's possible, if/when your VoIP adapter allows for multiple providers on each line. However, your PAP2T (unlike say a LinkSys SPA-3102) only allows one VoIP account (either VoXaLot OR Callcentric) per line. So if we could get it to work at all (on that VoIP adapter), it would be a PITA to setup.
However, I have to ask what's the problem with incoming calls being forwarding through VoXaLot?
I ask, because it would be pretty simple to have both inbound and outbound work via VoXaLot (even the "free" VoXaLot account would work for that). Specifically:
1) Register your PAP2T with VoXaLot (so you have inbound/outbound VoXaLot calls). Also make sure that your PAP2T dial plan lets you send all calls (including ones with the *-key in them) via VoXaLot.
2) Setup your Callcentric account (WITHOUT register) as a "provider" in VoXaLot, so that you can make Callcentric calls from within your VoXaLot account.
3) Setup your dial plans (in VoXaLot) to do what you want, including any ENUM lookup, any routing of calls via SIP Broker, any calls you want to send via Callcentric, etc. This should handle outbound calls.
4) Setup a Callcentric "call treatment" (on the Callcentric web site), that works at all times and all days, to send all calls to "number" **275*010xxxxxx (where xxxxxx is your 6-digit VoXaLot account. i.e. **275 to reach SIP Broker, followed by SIP Broker dialing to reach your VoXaLot account). Since this is a forward to a SIP Broker "number" that will ring your VoXaLot account, and Callcentric is a SIP Broker "sponsor", (last I checked) they don't charge for any forwarding to SIP Broker (so the "forward" via SIP Broker should be FREE of per minute charges on the Callcentric end). And since your VoXaLot account is "ringed" (by your Callcentric account ringing), and your VoIP adapter is "registered" to your VoXaLot account, inbound Callcentric calls should work just fine.
So, while technically this approach is routing everything via VoXaLot, it is still giving you the full flexibility for both inbound (VoXaLot, SIP Broker, and Callcentric calls all reach you) and outbound calls (full flexibility here, including ENUM lookups before using toll call routes) you want. |
